You don't always have to jump into Excel or Power BI to analyze your data. With analysis view in Business Central as a user, you get direct access to the company's financial and operational details – right where the numbers live.

This is how the analysis view works
With the analysis view in Business Central, you can work with data as a list or in a pivot table known from Excel:
- Drag-and-drop columns: Define which dimensions and measurements you want to analyze.
- Show tables in related tables: If your view only contains the customer number, you can add your name or other fields from the customer table in your analysis view.
- Filter by period, customer, department, product + more.
- Save views for repeated use and share them with your team.
“For example, if I want to do the same analysis just for another department or product group, I can just change the filter.”
– Morten Seifert, Development Lead, KOLLAB
All without exporting data or waiting for IT to create new reports.

Combination with other tools
