Orderliness pays off

In an industry characterized by constant change, Annette has found her position in KOLLAB. As Resource & Contract Manager, she has been a central figure in the engine room for more than ten years, where contracts, customers and consultants meet.

The road here was driven by both timing and relationships. Annette sought new challenges and several colleagues around her – and through the network, as well as a previous collaboration with KOLLAB's CEO, Carsten, the opportunity arose. It made the choice simple because she knew the culture and she knew the collaboration worked.

To stand strong in constant change

Over the years, Annette has experienced the market's fluctuations up close and learned that you can neither plan your way out of unpredictability nor fear it: ”You can clearly feel when the market changes that both the customer and consultant role also changes,” she says. ”With all customers you experience upswings and downturns. But when you have as much experience as I do, you also know that things change again. So all things are a phase.”

For her, it's not about avoiding change, it's about navigating it. It is a feature that not only provides peace internally, but also value for customers, who increasingly demand stability and clear processes.

The overview has become part of her signature. In the energy sector, where many customers are located, development takes place at a towering speed, and the contracts require both precision and understanding of the business behind it.

Annette describes her role as getting all the parts together – from the customer's first brief until the consultant gets his payment: ”After all, we all play a big role,” she says. ”When the customer explains the task, that we understand the task, that we find the right consultant, that we get the right contracts made, that we invoice the person in question and that they get their money. And not least that everyone is satisfied. Then I think it's been a good day at the office.”

Contracts are about people

For most, contracts are about law and detail. For Annette, they are about people. Each agreement is a collaboration that must work in practice, and it requires more than Excel sheets and signatures. It requires understanding, timing and trust. She knows that contracts can be negotiated, but relationships must be built. And experience has taught her that this is where the difference lies.

Her approach is simple, namely that propriety pays off: ”I'm a bit of the old school where you treat each other properly,” she says. ”This applies to both customers, consultants and colleagues. I think it will come back tenfold when you dare to say sorry and help each other.”

That approach fits naturally into KOLLAB, where trust is weighted higher than control. Here, experience and curiosity are allowed to work side by side: ”I think it's exciting to follow how the industry is changing,” she says. ”There's always something to learn, which is probably why I still think going to work is fun.”

Annette came to KOLLAB through her network – and stayed because she found recognition in the way you work together. Today, that network is not just her entrance to the industry, but part of the foundation she stands on every day.
