Mobilex A/S

Mobilex A/S is a Danish company that since 2003 has specialized in the development and distribution of aids for the elderly and people with disabilities. The company offers a comprehensive range of products including walkers, wheelchairs, ramps, bathing aids and a wide range of spare parts. Mobilex focuses on high quality, modern technology and fast delivery, distributing its products to over 2,500 retailers across Europe.

Challenge: Mobilex had an outdated, self-developed ERP system that could not keep up with growth, digitization and demands for automation, which created manual processes, lack of efficiency and risk of compliance failure.

Efficiency, transparency and future-proofing with a new cloud-based Business Central system

In an industry where precision, fast delivery and efficient operation are essential, Mobilex faced a growing challenge. Their old, self-developed ERP system had served the company well since its foundation in 2003, but had gradually become a challenge for the business's further growth and digitalisation.

The entire order flow – from procurement to finance – depended on a lot of manual entry, which was both time- and resource-intensive. Inventory management was another challenge, where the workflows were also characterized by many manual processes.

At the same time, on the financial side, attention was paid to compliance – both in relation to the GDPR, but also to the new accounting law, which required documentation and handling of data.

The solution came in the form of a new, cloud-based ERP system – Microsoft Business Central Online – in close collaboration with KOLLAB.

It was not just a technological shift, but a strategic investment that not only solved the existing challenges, but also paved the way for an efficient future with better integration, optimized processes and future-proof systems.
