For almost 55 years, TRASBO has been a stable service company in growth. Today, they provide facility services to both small and large companies, as well as laundry services to municipal residents in private homes and nursing homes. Their laundry is certified for quality, hygiene, environmental, and occupational health and safety, and the company currently employs more than 120 people.
As a natural consequence of continued growth, TRASBO experienced an increasing need to modernize its IT setup. The existing systems could no longer support the company's ambitions to scale effectively and create better coherence across operational areas.
That is why TRASBO began working with us at KOLLAB, who could help define and implement a comprehensive digital solution that matched the company's plans for the future.
Challenge: TRASBO relied on manual processes and Excel-based planning, which resulted in a lack of overview of resources, finances, and projects, making it difficult to manage and scale the business effectively.
A need for a modern and coherent platform
The initial task was to identify the systems that would underpin TRASBO's digital journey. The goal was to create a solid foundation where data could flow freely between departments. Power Apps and Power Automate in the laundry room
The collaboration between TRASBO and KOLLAB has resulted in the development of two tailor-made Power Apps, each supporting a different part of the laundry's daily operations. One app is used by drivers who pick up and deliver clothes to residents, while the other is used in the laundry itself to handle the many processes involved in weighing, washing, and delivery. Both apps are fully integrated with TRASBO's ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring that data is updated and synchronized in real time.
This means that employees can easily register clean and dirty laundry with just a few clicks, while the data is automatically available to management and other relevant functions.
A key element of the solution is the use of Power Automate, which links the processes together through a comprehensive set of automated rules. Automation enables TRASBO to handle far more customers without increasing the administrative burden. For example, the system automatically registers the weighing of dirty laundry, generates deliveries to the right citizens, and ensures that all data is time-stamped and traceable.
This provides TRASBO with valuable insight into throughput times and bottlenecks, which can be used for ongoing optimization of both production and logistics.

The choice of Microsoft technologies was a strategic move for TRASBO.
By consolidating their IT solutions within a single ecosystem, the company can leverage synergies between products and minimize the need for manual data transfers.
