For almost 55 years, TRASBO has been a stable, growing service company. Today, they provide Facility Services for both small and large companies as well as laundry services for municipally searched citizens in private homes and in care centres. Their laundry is quality, hygiene, environmental and working environment certified, and the company currently employs more than 120 employees.
As a natural consequence of the continued growth, TRASBO experienced an increasing need to modernize their IT setup. The existing systems could no longer support the company's ambitions to scale efficiently and create better coherence across operating areas.
Challenge: TRASBO relied on manual processes and Excel-based planning, which provided a lack of overview of resources, finances and projects and made it difficult to manage and scale the business effectively.
A need for a modern and coherent platform
The task was initially to identify the systems that were supposed to be the basis for TRASBO's digital journey. The aim was to create a solid foundation where data could flow freely between departments. Everything from production to administration was wrong, and had to be a place where employees had intuitive tools available in their daily work.
In the dialogue with KOLLAB, emphasis was placed on choosing solutions that could play closely together and at the same time give the company the flexibility to continuously adapt to new needs.
The focus was quickly on the Microsoft universe, where the combination of Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power Apps and Power Automate could form an integrated and future-proof setup.
Power Apps and Power Automate in the laundry
The collaboration between TRASBO and KOLLAB has resulted in the development of two tailor-made Power Apps, each supporting a different part of the laundry's daily operations. One app is used by the drivers who collect and deliver clothes from the citizens, while the other is used in the laundry itself to handle the many processes around weighing, washing and dispensing. Both apps are fully integrated with TRASBO's ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring that data is updated and synchronized in real time.
This means that employees can easily register clean and dirty clothes with a few clicks, while data is automatically available to the administration and other relevant functions.
A central element of the solution is the use of Power Automate, which binds the processes together through a comprehensive set of automated rules. The automation enables TRASBO to handle far more customers without increasing the administrative burden. The system, for example, automatically registers the weighing of dirty clothes, generates deliveries for the right citizens and ensures that all data is time-stamped and traceable.
It gives TRASBO valuable insight into flow times and bottlenecks, which can be used for continuous optimization of both production and logistics.
Synergies between Microsoft products
The choice of Microsoft technologies was a strategic move for TRASBO.
By bringing together their IT solutions within one ecosystem, the company can exploit the synergy between the products and minimize the need for manual data transfers.
At the same time, the Power Platform allows for rapid development and adjustment of solutions, so that the systems can constantly be adapted to new business needs without extensive coding.
With the help of KOLLAB, TRASBO has thus created a coherent digital ecosystem where data, processes and employees play together effectively. The result is a more agile and data-driven business that is more strongly equipped for the demands of the future.
